Shadrach:

I’m mad like I’m fixing the shade, mister. And nobody wants a mad black man. Even when he’s not mad. Basically, my life is a set of busted club-worn 1200s playing Anita Baker’s “Good Enough” on the Left and fadin’ to Blackalicious’ “Making Progress” on the Right. Serato. No Vestax, just a Gemini with missing knobs. Luckily DJ Babu is behind the tables. Come down selector!

Press Bio (Music):

Hip-Hop is defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary as “the stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies rap.” But what do old white guys know?

The true hip-hop heads of the world will testify that hip-hop is not just a type of music, but a way of life: a way to think, create, and exist. There’s no stopping this movement to rejuvenate the music and there’s definitely no stopping DJ, rapper, producer, Shadrach.

With a fitted cap and a hoodie the color of royalty, DJ Shadrach is taking on the hip-hop world and “restoring the essence” of what the culture was intended to be. His smooth beats and dexterous lyrics are like nothing you have ever heard before. They’ll take you into his ever-sober soul filled with passion, philosophies, and his campaign for a drama-free life. He prides himself on staying real, down to earth, and never forgetting his roots.

Starting at the age of 16 on the computer mic in his parent’s living room in good ol’ Palmdale, CA, Shadrach fell in love with the hip-hop world. He produced his first album The Beginesis and made his debut to the world. He followed with his unreleased album One Man Show with hits such as Super Lady and A Common Feel, his first collaboration with Dusted Phoniks. Shadrach is currently working on his solo project, Grape Juice and Lemonade, which is already getting an immense amount of positive feedback.

Although Shadrach loves the days when he can step away from the rest of the world and immerse himself into his own music, he values getting involved in an ever-growing network of local rappers in Chico, CA. He has teamed up with such acts as Dusted Phoniks, producing multiple tracks for their albums, doing collaborations with Dirty Menace, and Eye-Que. He has also become a founding member of the up-and-coming hip-hop duo, making a name for itself in across the West Coast, PANDA. You can also find Shadrach DJing a hip-hop show on KCSC Radio every week that can be streamed from any where in the world.
